Crater Lake Console
Made from a single slab of Spalted Maple. The obvious knothole combined with burled growth rings resembles an impact crater left by a meteorite. Now filled with water to create a series of lakes which eventually give way to a waterfall which falls off the end of the piece.
Finished with Osmo Wood Wax and Polyx-Oil to bring out the assortment of colours in the wood grain. Each telling a different story about the life of the tree this slab came from.
This piece is a custom commission. Please get in touch with us to discuss the creation of your own.
